May At the Met
I want to travel home to New york next month just to visit the Met. I am a LOVER of all Avant-Garde, and they have an exhibition entitled, “The Steins Collect: Matisse, Picasso, and the Parisian Avant-Garde”, currently running through June 3rd. The Stein family—not only Gertrude, but both her brothers and mother as well—were prolific patrons of the arts, and here one gets to view an expansive collection of some of the defining art of a lost generation.

Then, beginning May 10th, the Costume Institute will put on “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations”, simultaneously showcasing and juxtaposing each designer’s strengths; Elsa Schiaparelli’s Avant-Garde groundbreaking aesthetic and Miuccia Prada’s Postmodern sensibility.
